After voting, we headed to Cheraw State Park which is about an hour and 45 minutes from us. The girls enjoyed watching Greatest Showman in the car (they are obsessed). We met the Currys there and explored the really cool boardwalk. Unfortunately, no geocache was found, but the kids enjoyed the small beach area and the playground while we ate a picnic lunch.

Next up we headed to H. Cooper Black State Recreational Area. It's an equestrian park and we were bummed to not find a cache there either. The kids thought it was fun to be horses and we did see some dog training.
My hope was to hit a third park, but the rain and time stopped us. We got back to let Paige do her piano lesson and then prep for the rest of the school week and meet with our sweet Parish Leaders. Time with them is always life giving as we figure out how to best serve the mission of the church and love people well both inside and outside of the church.
The rest of the week will be pedal to the metal, but we're looking forward to celebrating some awesome things at our house. Stay tuned for all the fun!
